The Belgium kennel club (KMSH) allows you to breed ONLY if your dog has the score
"A - B - C " . The breed clubs need to follow their rules.
The system allows you to do the X-rays as of an age of 12 months, although most breeders have it done at 15 months. You need to be done the hips before breeding otherwise you don't receive pedigrees!!!!!

If you breed with one of the parents with the score " C " you must take a dog with a lower score.

Hip commission excised out of 6 / 7 vets

The breed club asking only eyes and hips, but the prefer you do also elbows, so the most of the breeders do this.

The Belgium kennel club accept all hips from foreign countries, this means if you having a dog who registered in Holland, that dog need a official hip score from Holland, so a BVA score will not tell.
If you using a French dog, it needs a official French Hip score Also BVA or OFA will not tell.

I am convinced that Belgium has one of the finest hip-evaluation systems and breeding control systems in the world.

The system can allow you to breed, even with dogs with “bad” hips… under certain conditions.

Allowing to breed with a dog with a " D " score, see below..

This, of course needs some explanation.

Please don’t misunderstand,  I do not recommend breeding with bad- hipped dogs but if you have a super quality dog as a working or as a show dog, the system allows you to ask for breeding permission to the National kennel club (KMSH).
If your dog has proved to be a worthy breeding specie you probably will get your permission.
